My Life Is A Tripp: October 2015

September has been pretty busy, while still trying to have some fun! Lake days have ended, the water is cold and low, and pretty much ONLY toddler approved, the rest of us aren't really into it. We have gone on a few hikes, took a trip to Salt Lake for Tripp's allergy testing, we go to story time at the library every Wednesday, Tripp really likes that and has really started to participate and make friends, he looks forward to it every week. Tripp also has been doing online preschool, the UPSTART program, MOST days he really looks forward to it. He is still really into his fashion statements and changing clothes OFTEN. Tripp also started soccer and has that every Monday and Wednesday, he seems to enjoy it and is actually into the game this year. Caffrey is a busy little guy, he wants to be a part of everything and will avoid sleep at all costs if he thinks he is going to miss something. He loves to watch everything Tripp does and Tripp is pretty good at trying to include Caffrey in whatever he is doing, Caff is still a happy little guy, eats, sleeps and plays, he has a few favorite toys, and he loves to play on his play mat! He wants SO bad to be able to sit on his own,and he's getting there quickly! We also lost our sweet boy Griffin this month. He has been an amazing dog, we were so sad to see him go, he had a rough last month or so that made us realize it was time to let him go.

Tripp being the hulk......and making another fashion statement. His favorite people these days that he references are Arnold Schwarzenegger and Lou Ferrigno.... this is Jon's doing.... but I can pretty much get the kid to eat or do anything as long as Arnold and Lou do it.

The allergist suggested we give Caffrey peanuts ASAP to avoid developing an allergy to them, we suggested a test first... and he unfortunately had a slight positive.... so he will be retested, then if okay he will be given a small amount in the Dr's office.

This is Tripp's back from the allergy test.... between the blood test and the scratch test, we and the Dr have come up with a few to start doing food challenges on, this is where they feed him the food in a controlled setting in the Dr office to see the reaction and the severity, and if nothing or extremely minor we work on putting that back in the diet, and we also get to eliminate the danger/risk/fear of a life threatening reaction, is the hope..... the 2 that the Dr will not touch are Milk and Egg, those were both very high for Tripp and we will not look at doing anything with them for a while. In October Tripp will have a challenge with soy and then with peanut. Wish us luck :-)

Tripp had a cold.. or something for a few days... the only time you will ever see this kid calm... or fall asleep anywhere other than his bed.... when he is sick... poor kiddo.
